From A Quiet Place to Christopher Robin, a bunch of great movies appeared on our screens in 2018. What did those movies teach us? Each of the movies that we’ll highlight in today’s post taught us something unforgettable about life. Enjoy!

Ready Player One — This latest Steven Spielberg directorial hit blew audiences away with its incredible use of CGI and nostalgic references. If you didn’t see this movie or if you have never read the book, here’s a quick overview of the plot:

“Following the death of the creator of a virtual reality world, players race to find the key to become the heir of his fortune.”

Okay, so there’s a lot more to the story than that, but you don’t need to fully understand the movie in order to understand one of the big life lessons that it taught. Ready Player One taught us the importance of using discretion when sharing personal information online. When you meet someone online, you can’t be too sure about who it is you’re conversing with.

A Quiet Place — One of the surprise hits of 2018 was John Krasinski’s horror movie debut. A Quiet Place was a great story about a family trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where dangerous creatures hunt according to sound. While this family strives to keep quiet in a never-silent world, it’s no surprise that accidents happen, sounds are made, and prices are paid because of it. A Quiet Place taught us that no matter how much we prepare, accidents are bound to happen, but what matters is how you react to them.

Christopher Robin — One of our favorite Disney movies of the year was Christopher Robin, a sweet tale that took viewers back to the world of Winnie the Pooh. Apart from the clever dialogue and heart-warming story, Christopher Robin taught us that it’s okay — and rather important — to make time to slow down. The movie teaches us the importance of childhood and that there is joy found in doing nothing. What’s at the top of your list of priorities? Christopher Robin may easily make you rethink your answer to that question.
